What do you think of the eco dress “Skyfall” actress Naomie Harris wore to the Oscars last night?
It was designed by Gahna-born designer Michael Badger under the watchfull eye of Vivenne Westwood in London. Badger, 24, who is still a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the US was winner of Susy Amis Cameron’s 4th Annual Red Carpet Green Dress Challenge.
The dress, which took 120 hours to create, was made with organic Crepe De Chine dyed using chamomile seeds and goldenrod, the by products of which went straight to the compost heap because no chemicles were used. The detailing included recycled zippers, vintage glass beads and woven chocolate bar wrappers. Badger was reported to have been inspired by volcanos and flowing lava.
